Best Place to visit in Jaipur

Jaipur, the largest city in the state of Rajasthan and also its capital, was built in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.

In order to welcome Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, in 1876, Maharaja Ram Singh painted Jaipur pink, earning the city the nickname "Pink City of India."

Here are the top five attractions in Jaipur.

#1 Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, was erected in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh as a viewing platform for the royal family's female members.

The mahal's honeycomb-shaped Rajput-style construction was created utilizing red and pink sandstone.

The mahal contains 953 windows with elaborate latticework, and the entire castle is shaped like Lord Krishna's crown.

#2 Golden Fort

Raja Man Singh first began work on the Amber Fort, also referred to as the jewel of Jaipur, in 1592.

The fort, which was constructed with red sandstone and white marble and features some enigmatic underground passageways, is a reflection of Rajasthani architecture.

There are four different portions of the fort.

It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.

#3 Albert Hall Gallery

In 1887, the Albert Hall Museum was founded to honor Prince Albert's trip to Jaipur.

Samuel Swinton Jacob, a former director of the Jaipur Public Works Department, designed it.

It is one of Rajasthan's oldest museums and is home to numerous historical items, including six Egyptian mummies and numerous old coins.

Additionally, it features a collection of 19th-century clay figurines, miniature paintings, and costumes from the 18th century.

#4 Nahargarh Fort

If you want to see the entirety of Jaipur from a distance, you must visit the 300-year-old Nahargarh Fort.

Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built the fort in 1734 to defend Jaipur from invaders.

The royal family used it as a hunting getaway as well.

The fort, which is perched on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, has elaborate wall and ceiling murals.

#5 Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar, which was constructed in the early 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, is essentially an astronomical observatory that was constructed by the king to study space.

Around 19 geometrical structures are located there; it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The largest time-forecasting device in this area is the Samrat Yantra. It is also the biggest sundial in the world.
