List of 7 desert spots in Rajasthan

When one addresses comeuppance in India. the 1st name that comes to mind is Rajasthan, which is ever right & wrong too.

Right, as you'll find desert spots only in Rajasthan, & wrong as only2/5 area of Rajasthan is desert, which is the western part of the state, from Pushkar to Jaisalmer, and comes under Thar desert.

Thar Desert

Thar desert is the 18th largest desert area in the whole world, & is in both India & Pakistan.

In India’s point, you'll find numerous beach stacks that have wild foliage. but still, there is around 7 desert drift area, that is authentic dessert spots.

When I use the term “ authentic” I mean real desert spots in Rajasthan, where you'll find beach stacks that are 20-50 measures altitudinous, & numerous desert tourism-related conditioning like Camel safari, Jeep safari, drift bashing, desert camping & in some places “ Paragliding”.

Plus these comeuppances are some of the stylish places to capture evening or daylight, with your camera or mobile.

So, in this post on Comeuppance in Rajasthan, I’ve participated 7 authentic desert beach drift spots in Rajasthan, along with all the conditioning that you can enjoy then.

 1. Desert in Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is one of the stylish megacity in the whole Thar desert area of Rajasthan. Then you'll find vast desert land and two prominent desert stacks spots of Sam beach stacks and Khuri Sand Stacks.

Both Sam & Khuri are blessed with 30-60 cadence altitudinous beach stacks, which attract trippers from each over India, especially from Gujarat

Along with these 2 stacks spots, Jaisalmer is a very popular sightseer lodestone and its Golden Fort, also known as Sonar Quila is a must watch lodestone, along with numerous other spots like Gadisar Lake, Amar Sagar, Jaisalmer War Museum etc.

2. Desert in Jodhpur

Jodhpur is 260 km east of Jaisalmer and is one of three top prominent desert regions in the Thar Desert. Though the utmost region of the jodhpur quarter has green foliage, you'll find one phenomenon, that's now rated as the perfect desert in Jodhpur Jaisalmer.

The desert of Osian is relatively close to Jodhpur, around 70 km, and is notorious for two tabernacles (Osian Mata Temple & a Jain tabernacle) along with the desert stacks.

At Osian beach stacks, you'll find only a sprinkle of desert camp, along with many camel & jeep safari stint drivers. Substantially these stacks are visited by trippers who are in Jodhpur & want to enjoy authentic desert safari conditioning, like Jeep Safari, Camel safari, etc.

The remote surroundings of Osian make it a high magnet for a peaceful night stay (in desert camps) as this drift area is less crowded in comparison to Sam Sand Stacks in Jaisalmer.

Also, checkout out the taxi service in jodhpur if you're interested to hire a taxi in Jodhpur to visit Osian.

 3. Desert in Barmer

Around 160 km south of Jaisalmer, is the megacity of Barmer which is rated as the 2nd desert megacity of Rajasthan (Jaisalmer being 1st) where you'll find a vast desert area. And the most prominent desert region then is

 4. Desert in Nagaur

Nagaur is in central Rajasthan & near both Jodhpur & Jaisalmer. Though Nagaur is substantially known for its Cattle granges if you travel 45 km south from Nagaur megacity, you'll come across a vill named Khimsar. Then you'll find

Khimsar is a small city in central rajasthan which lies between Jaipur & Jodhpur and is just 45 km down from Nagaur megacity (closest road station).

So once you enter Khimsar city, you'll 1st notice a big solar panel unit from Reliance & a beach drift resort, which is the major magnet “ Khimsar Sand Dune resort”

.Unlike the below desert drift point, Khimsar is veritably remote and maturity of trippers visiting Khimsar are the guests of this resort, who have maintained a drift area with vill theme hooches, and offer camel lift at a drift area which is maintained by them, as shown in the image over.

The girding area of Khimsar is a flat desert area but is full of rich wildlife like Desert Fox, Nagai, Blackbucks, Demoiselle Cranes, Partridges, and other species in wildlife sanctuaries around this region.

5. Desert in Bikaner

Bikaner is a popular sightseer megacity, in the middle of Thar desert & in western Rajasthan, which is notorious for its Junagarh Palace, Karni Mata tabernacle (where you'll find further than 25000 rats), and the desert area just outside the megacity.

Like all other desert in Rajasthan, Bikaner to has many beach drift area which isn’t veritably high but is spread across a large area & relatively notorious for its camel safari & camping conditioning.

Plus, when you're in the Bikaner desert, do plan to attend the Bikaner camel jubilee in January and do visit the National Research Centre on Camels, if you want to enjoy some time with camels, taste camel milk ice cream, etc. Checknrccamel.icar.gov.in for further details.

 6. Desert in Pushkar

Pushkar is one of the holiest metropolises for the Hindus & a major sightseer destination of Rajasthan, girdled by the desert beach.

The beach stacks then aren't as spectacular as that around Sam beach stacks Jaisalmer, but they're rated as the stylish places to go for exploring the pastoral vill in Rajasthan.

You can go on a camel lift then, or drive around in a camel wain to explore unseen regions of Thar Desert. The caretaker of the camel will be your companion & will partake intriguing data about townlets with you.
