10 Must-Visit Places In Udaipur, The City Of Lakes - Royal Rajasthan

 1. Udaipur City Palace, Udaipur 

Once you have got your hostel room sorted, this is the first corner that you should visit. The City Palace, located on the banks of Lake Pichola, will give you a regard into Rajasthan’s kingly majesty with its towering structures erected for the quondam Mewar ruling family.

 2. Lake Palace, Udaipur 

The iconic Lake Palace will arrest you with its beauty and scenic position on the 4-km long, man- made Lake Pichola. The palace is now operated by the Taj Group and offers witching views of the Aravalli Hills. 3. Jagmandir, Udaipur 

Another romantic destination in Udaipur, this 17th-century palace complex is also positioned on Lake Pichola. Also, known as Lake Garden Palace, Jagmandir will draw you with its sheer splendor and tranquility. It has divisions like the Garden Courtyard, Gul Mahal, Darikhana, Bara Patharon ka Mahal, Kunwar Pada ka Mahal and Zenana Mahal. This is another must- visit during your boat lift.

4. Jagdish Temple, Udaipur 

The Indo-Aryan Jagdish Temple owes its creation to the Maharana Jagat Singh. The tabernacles in Udaipur lies near the City Palace’s Badi Pol entry and you have to go up through a many way. The black gravestone deity of Lord Vishnu will awe you and so will the brass Garuda image facing it.

 5. Saheliyon Ki Bari, Udaipur 

Saheliyon Ki Bari or the Garden of the Misses was erected by Maharana Sangram Singh in the early times of the 18th century. This admiration- inspiring development provisioned to the maids who would go with the Princess of Udaipur to her hubby’s domicile ( part of the dowry given by the Maharana). This place had enough women dancing, singing and making merry and the beautiful marble mammoths, cradles, a lotus pool and alcoves bear ample evidence to the uproariousness of the time.

 6. Sajjangarh Palace, Udaipur 

Sajjangarh Palace or The Monsoon Palace is deposited on a hilltop and offers amazing views of Fateh Sagar Lake and the girding Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary. This castle-suchlike structure is straight out of a puck tale and is a perfect illustration of the substance of the Rajput autocrats – the palace was made just to be suitable to enjoy watching thunderstorm shadows gather incorrectly in the sky! Erected by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1884,

 7. Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur 

 This beautiful man- made lake with its striking blue-hued waters against the background of green hills is what has earned Udaipur its surname of “ The Alternate Kashmir”. Exceptionally clean and extensive, the Fateh Sagar Lake is a great place to visit in Udaipur substantially for its 4 islets that are lodestones in themselves. Accessible only by boat, the islets play host to public premises and a solar overlook that's worth a see.

 8. Lake Pichola, Udaipur 

Constructed in 1362 Announcement, most likely by a banjara tribesman, Lake Pichola moment is an iconic symbol of Udaipur. Measuring nearly 4 Km in length and 3 Km in range, the lake is a must- see place to visit in Udaipur. A myriad of palaces, tabernacles, royal diggings and ghats and chabutaras have been developed around the lake and on its several islets over the times. These structures like the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir are the most popular spots then but for a fresh experience we ’d recommend taking a boat from the City Palace to the Arsi Vilas Island to go explore the raspberry sanctuary it hosts.

 10. Jaisamand Lake, Udaipur 

 Jaisamand Lake, also known as Dhebar Lake is one of the most beautiful water bodies in Udaipur and is also one of the largest artificial lakes in the world. One of most popular places to visit in Udaipur, the lake was formed by the celebrated Marble Dam erected by Maharana Jai Singh in 1685. The marble levee is in itself quite the magnet as are the marble statues and chatris that dot the structure.
